Quick Summary of Video
- Before viewing this video, you should first watch the ‘Getting Started’ video where we illustrated how to enter in your Affiliate and PPC programs.
- We have some programs loaded with some dummy data so we can do an illustration for you.
- When the data download is complete you will see a checkmark in the Status column.
- If you see a wrench shown in the Status column it’s generally a known issue with an Affiliate program – and you do not need to submit a support ticket. If you see a red arrow moving up and down in the Status column it means the data is still downloading.
- The next step is to set up your Conversion Tracking.
- Click on the ‘PPC Stats’ tab at the top the page.
- Click on ‘Keyword Tracking Setup’ button, and it will open up the Keyword Tracking Setup Wizard.
- Click on ‘Click Here to Continue’ in the Affiliate Tracking box.
- This will bring up a window detailing how to add keyword tracking to a PPC engine. Click on ‘Click Here to Continue’.
- It will open a new window titled Keyword Tracking Setup Wizard. Here you will associate your PPC engine ads with certain campaigns.

- We are going to associate each of the links with either a landing page or an Affiliate program. A landing page is a case where you host your own landing page at your own website. An Affiliate program is a direct link.
- If you have several links displayed and they are all the same, you are going to use the first pull down to apply to all the links displayed.
- Let’s suppose all these programs are running on CommissionXchange, you’d select CommissionXchange from your dropdown list. Notice CommissionXchange is now selected in all the drop downs, and the StatsJunky tracking ID’s have been added to the URL’s
- Click on ‘Export My Data’.
- If all of these links were to landing pages, you’d select ‘These Use a Landing Page’ from the first drop down list.
- Click ‘OK’. Then it will affix the SJ tracking IDs to the displayed links. These are the unique tracking codes that allow StatsJunky to track the links as they are being clicked on.
- You can do a mix and set some as landing pages and some as Affiliate programs by setting them individually.
- On the right side of the page you will see an Edit button. Click on ‘Edit’ and it will bring up a window that will allow you to edit each URL individually.
- When you’re finished you will have SJ tracking IDs assigned to your URLs. Click on ‘Export My Data’. You can choose where to save the file, including in your StatsJunky Data folder or on your Desktop. Click ‘Save’.
- In the next video we will talk about how to upload what we just did as well as discuss how to set up conversion tracking on your landing pages.
