Quick Summary of Video

  • This is the first in many videos, a getting started video. We’ll be discussing how to set up parts of the application.
  • When we open the screen you will see several tabs across the top, with a row of buttons placed beneath.
  • One of the first things you will want to do is load up some statistics or information from your Affiliate and PPC programs.
  • Click on the ‘Programs’ button. Click on the ‘Ad on Network’ pull down and a list of various supported PPC and Affiliate Programs will appear.
  • For the first one we are going to load up Google Adwords.
  • Enter your User Name, in this case it’s an email address. Enter your Password as well.
  • In the ‘Download Stats From’ pull down list you’ll see a calendar, we suggest going back a couple days to a week. Your stats will load more quickly. Your data will come in and allow you to go back further when you use it in the future.
  • In the ‘Stats Update’ pull down you will have the option to select how often the stats will be updated. We recommend 2 to 4 hours. Then click ‘Add’.
  • You’ll see the program will be pulling down the stats from Adwords. If you mouse over the arrow, you will see a progress bar.
  • While that is pulling in the data, we will demonstrate how to add an Affiliate program. Click on the ‘Programs’ button.
  • In the Affiliate / PPC dropdown list you’ll see there are several hundred programs listed. In this case let’s choose LinkShare.
  • Again, enter your User Name and Password.
  • In the ‘Download Stats From’ pull down list, go back a day or two.
  • You don’t need to be concerned about security, everything is stored locally on your hard drive, it’s not a web based application.
  • Click ‘Add’. You’ll see once again we are downloading the program. Now we have both Google Adwords and an Affiliate program, LinkShare loading.
  • You can continue to add in all your PPC / Affiliate programs like Yahoo, Facebook, MSN, etc as you see fit.
  • The main dashboard allows you to see all your stats, PPC and Affiliate, in one interface.
  • We are going to close this video and come back with some statistics that are loaded up and show you what you can do next.
